BACTO-STOP
Type of Product:

Capsules with a bacteria-static effect for fighting against the majority of diseases contracted by fish (bacterial attacks). For example, the putrefaction of fins produced by Flexibacter, septicaemia hemorragicas (death by bloated abdomen), ulcers, exophtalmia bacteria (bulging eyes), etc. In concrete, each capsule contains 400 milligrams of Oxitetracyclin.

Distinctive Characteristics with respect to other formulas:

The capsules contain the active in powder form (as watery solutions are unstable) to guarantee that the product arrives at the person's home in suitable conditions. Applied orally or dissolved into water (the form mainly employed). It is preferable to carry out the treatment in a bucket, aside the aquarium, to avoid the possible interaction with decorative elements, mud etc. In all cases, it's precise to renew the water integrally after the treatment.

Usage and Dosage:

It is recommended to prolong the treatment at least, with optimal water conditions, during the 24 hours posterior to the total disappearance of the symptoms, and to provide rich alimentation or vitamins at the end. To continue, review the types of treatments and recommended concentrations of BACTO-STOP:
  1. Dissolve in water: As a general rule, apply the treatments in clean buckets, and with good water conditions. Better to use a sponge filter, removing the active carbon, resins or other absorbent substances. In these conditions, pour the contents of 1 capsule per each 20 litres of water, prolonging the bathing period between two to six days without the necessity of adding new doses. Protect the bucket from light, and proceed immediately by completely changing the water, with addition to a new dosage if the water colour turns from yellow to greyish-brown or black, which indicates the degradation of the active. It's preferable to utilise soft / semi-hard water when using BACTO-STOP for treatments. Apply a double dose of the antibiotic if used with hard water. Note, oxidation of the antibiotic is achieved faster when using a diffuser instead of a filter, in the treatment bucket. Therefore, it's possible that you may need to renew the bath with greater frequency.

  2. Via oral: The Oxitetracyclin dose is 20 to 60 milligrams per day and per kilo of weight. The difficulty of supplying such a dosage to small fish is understandable unless adding it to the food, calculating the quantity that the animal can eat in a day.

Combination with other medicines:

Can be combined with HEXA-PULL simultaneously (adding the respective doses) for the treatment of internal bacteria and parasites and for better effects against a wide spectrum of bacteria, including negative grams and anaerobic. Also effective (when used in the combination mentioned above) against White Spot, when when finding it difficult to eliminate White Spot with other products.
